For Newcomers

We would love the opportunity to meet you. Upon registering, please feel free to contact our school office to set up a meeting with administration to share some information about our school, get a tour and discuss how we can ensure a successful transition for your student(s) into our school community.

Forest Green School is located in the Forest Green neighbourhood of Stony Plain, in a cul-de-sac off Oatway Drive. We serve students in Grades K-6 who live in the Forest Green, Woodlands, Stony Creek, Southridge, Creekside, Fairways, South Creek and Graybriar neighbourhoods in the Town of Stony Plain. We also host students from across the division who are enrolled in our STEPS class.

Upon graduation from our school, our students typically continue their education at Stony Plain Central School.

Please note: Parkland School Division serves only families who reside in the County of Parkland, the town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove. We currently have some out-of-jurisdiction students who are permitted to complete the program at their current school. No further out-of-jurisdiction students are being registered in PSD. If your family is not a resident of Parkland School Division, your resident school board is responsible for meeting your educational needs.

Parking & Transportation

As Forest Green is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, parking is limited.

Please adhere to the following expectations when coming to the school:

• Parents are asked to park by the skating rink.
   
• Do not park behind vehicles that are already parked in the skating rink lot.
   
• When buses are dropping off students (8:15-8:45am) or picking up students (2:55-3:25pm), please do not stop in the areas marked by yellow sidewalk lines or the pylons.
   
• Do not park in the staff parking lot. There are not even enough spaces for the staff.

Parents and guests are reminded to be extremely cautious when driving up to the school. Traffic can be congested and children can be unpredictable. Patience and alertness are required to keep our children safe. 

Checking In & Out of School

The main entrance is located at the front of the school, facing the parking lot. The school office is to the right of the main entrance doors. All visitors must sign in at the office and pick up a pass before going to any area of the school.

If you are picking up your children during school hours, please visit the office to sign them out. At the end of the school day, you can meet your child at their grade-specific door.
